Dr. Burns has been in private practice for 30 years, 23 of which have been practicing orthodontics in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Dr. Burns has been a member of the American Association of Orthodontics for the past 20 years, a member of the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists since 1995, and a 1997 graduate and current faculty member of OBI Foundation. She has lectured internationally on many topics including TMJ centered orthodontics, the role of the orthodontist in treating patients with sleep disordered breathing and the Interdisciplinary care of complex patients.
