OBI 2026 Annual Conference – October 1–3, 2026 | Nashville, TN: Clinical Research to Chairside Reality

Mark your calendar for one of the most anticipated events in Bioesthetic Dentistry.

The OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry® 2026 Annual Conference, taking place October 1–3, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, is where clinical research meets real-world application. This three-day gathering brings together dentists, laboratory technicians, students, alumni, and leaders in biologic dentistry for advanced education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional connection.

If you are seeking cutting-edge insights in TMJ research, digital dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, and biologically based restorative techniques, this is the conference designed for you.

Where Inspiration Meets Action in Bioesthetic Dentistry

Each year, OBI’s Annual Conference helps clinicians connect the dots between their training, their daily practice, and the latest advancements in occlusion-based, biologically grounded care.

The 2026 theme, “Clinical Research to Chairside Reality,” reflects OBI’s commitment to translating evidence-based dentistry into predictable clinical outcomes. Participants will explore how research in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) health, digital workflows, materials science, and systemic dental medicine can be applied immediately in practice.

Hosted at the Residence Inn Nashville Downtown, located at 410 Rep John Lewis Way South, Nashville, TN, this year’s conference combines high-level education with the energy of Music City. Nashville’s vibrant culture, renowned culinary scene, and rich musical history provide the perfect backdrop for reconnecting with colleagues and advancing your clinical knowledge.

Featured Educational Highlights

TMJ Research Spotlight

Leading speakers will present cutting-edge TMJ research on joint stability, disc positioning, muscle harmony, and pain management. Attendees will learn how to translate research findings into Bioesthetic protocols that resolve TMD symptoms, restore physiologic occlusion, and prevent long-term joint degeneration.

For clinicians treating complex occlusal and TMJ cases, this is an opportunity to deepen understanding and enhance predictable outcomes.

Digital Revolution in Bioesthetics

Digital dentistry continues to evolve, and OBI demonstrates how intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM technology, and 3D printing integrate seamlessly with Bioesthetic principles. Participants will see how digital workflows support precise replication of natural stomatognathic harmony while preserving tooth structure and joint health.

This session bridges technology and biology, showing how innovation can strengthen, not replace, sound occlusion-based diagnosis.

Medical Aspects of Dental Disease

Modern dentistry increasingly recognizes the systemic implications of occlusal disharmony. Conference sessions will explore links between dental dysfunction and head and neck pain, headaches, bruxism, airway compromise, and overall wellness.

Through the biologic model of health, attendees will gain clarity on how addressing root causes improves both oral and systemic outcomes.

Materials Update for Predictable Restorations

Experts will review advancements in high-translucency zirconia, lithium disilicate, bioactive ion-releasing composites, hybrid ceramics, and fiber-reinforced polymers. These materials will be discussed in the context of minimal intervention, durability, esthetics, and long-term functional stability.

For clinicians focused on full-mouth rehabilitation and conservative restorative dentistry, this update ensures material selection aligns with Bioesthetic goals.

About OBI’s Curriculum

The Core Curriculum of Dental Bioesthetics is a comprehensive, multi-level educational pathway designed to guide dentists and laboratory technicians from foundational diagnosis to advanced full-mouth rejuvenation.

The journey begins with the 100 Course, introducing the three foundational principles of Bioesthetics and the biologic model of the human chewing system. From there, students progress through the 200 Series (Diagnosis and Stabilization for Condylar Health), the 300 Series (Minimally Invasive Treatment of Unstable Occlusions), and the 400 Series (Diagnosis and Treatment of Severely Damaged Orognathic Systems). The 1000 Series International Fellowship Program further expands the learning experience.

Every graduate completes and presents two patient cases from their own practice, a requirement that sets OBI apart from every other continuing education program in dentistry.

Complementing the Core Curriculum is OBI’s Lab Curriculum (Series 600 and 700), which focuses on the biologic model and functional morphology of the stomatognathic system. Through wax-ups, morphology training, and comprehensive functional morphing, dentists and technicians learn to restore natural relationships with precision and predictability.

Together, these programs form a complete educational pathway rooted in biologic truth, hands-on mentorship, and clinical excellence.
